Real-time data from shoppers enhances the system`s accuracy, making it a fast-adapting solution. It’s a win-win: Stores save money, and there’s less waste left over. 

AI Is enhancing energy efficiency

Like AI-backed inventory systems, smart grid technology can better predict demands and manage energy supplies. The AI optimizes energy distribution to direct it to places that need more energy allocation, such as extremely hot or cold climates.

Many people might not think twice about energy consumption, but small reductions could bring considerable environmental benefits. An AI system that understands the bigger picture of an area can reduce energy consumption where it’s not needed.

Similarly, AI-enhanced building management systems could reduce unnecessary energy usage. Smart sensors and systems could monitor and control heating units, ventilation, and air conditioning in a way that best suits each building. Large office spaces, grocery stores, or warehouses can be optimized, so energy consumption is not overused. As mentioned earlier, Google has used its AI, DeepMind, to reduce its electricity usage further for industrial cooling.
